The fact that ALL imams must preach the virtues of ALL forms of jihad, (especially violent jihad) is hardly surprising considering that the most sacred Islamic text, The Quran, simply demands it from ALL muslims.

Jihad for Allah simply means destruction of Dar al Harb (non-Muslim world) by ANY means, and violent Jihad is the best strategy to achieve this noble goal.

It is also the feast day of a lesser known person – St Peter Nolasco, the great ransomer of captives from the Muslims.
