Female Genital Mutilation 3 — Will Islam's lies ever stop!!!

Kaaba

The Black Stone as well as FGM existed  many centuries before the 'invention' of Islam.

Can we claim then that the Black Stone has nothing to do with Islam?

In the Heraldsun, Wednesday 20/6/07, p 23 we have yet another article by a Muslim woman – Sherene Hassan - yet another Islamic Council of Victoria member (linked with CAIR and its terrorist members in the USA), falsely claiming clitoridectomy has nothing to do with Islam.   She notes that Aayan Hirsi Ali states that genital mutilation existed (known among Arabs and possibly back to Pharonic times) before Islam and tries to pretend that this excuses Islam!
All the Hajj ceremonies were pre-Islamic Arab pagan ceremonies –will we pretend they have nothing to do with Islam?

I again state Islamic law and several hadiths to show that this practice was taken up by Islam and has spread throughout the world through Islamic imperialism---Africa, Middle-east, India, Malaysia, Indonesia ---many cultures with only ISLAM in common and is now practiced in the west, including Australia!  It hasn't spread with other religions!   Ms Hassan tries to pretend it's just an African practice equally carried out by animists and Christians------ She neglects to mention that others in Africa only, who practice it have lived for many centuries under Arab/Islamic control and persecution.  She neglects to mention that African practice rates for Christians (many converts from Islam) are lower than the usually high practice rates for Muslims (it's now not PC to distinguish between religious groups!!)

It is no wonder that after many centuries it became part of 'culture'!  (WHO –Female Genital Mutilation   An overview  1998,  and report of WHO technical working group).  She neglects to note that neither Jesus, nor Christian text support clitoridectomy!   While there are many 'cultural' reasons for FGM, Ms Hassan neglects to note that in Islam there is also a religious reason,  important across the Islamic world.

In Reliance of the Traveller, a classical manual of Islamic sacred law in Arabic with facing English text, commentary and appendices edited and translated by Nuh Ha Mim Keller (1994) re 'circumcision' we find the Arabic actually says -
"Circumcision is obligatory (for every male and female) by cutting off the piece of skin on the glans of the penis of the male,
but circumcision of the female is by cutting out the clitoris (this is called HufaaD). "  (p59)(Shafi'i Law)
(Note the English version is falsely translated as 'prepuce ' of the clitoris!!)

The Arabic word bazr does not mean "prepuce of the clitoris", it means the clitoris itself (cf. the entry in the Arabic-English Dictionary). The deceptive translation by Nuh Hah Mim Keller, made for Western consumption, obscures the Shafi’i law, given by ‘Umdat al-Salik, that circumcision of girls by excision of the clitoris is mandatory. This particular form of female circumcision is widely practiced in Egypt, where the Shafi’i school of Sunni law is followed.  Note a comment by Sheikh 'Abd al-Wakil Durubi in the English 'version' notes "Hanbalis hold that circumcision of women is not obligatory but sunna, while Hanafis consider it a mere courtesy to the husband." (answering-Islam.org)

This is supported by several hadiths:
1)  Abu-Dawud   Book 41, No.  5251:   Narrated Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah:    A woman used to perform circumcision in Medina.  The prophet (peace be upon him) said to her:  Do not cut severely as that is better for a woman and more desirable for a husband.
(Note:  The powerful Mohammad did NOT stop the procedure yet he did stop the Arab practise of adoption when he wished to marry his adopted son's wife Zainab, regarded as incest by the Arabs because adopted sons were held as sons!)

2)  The are many hadiths across several sets that refer to the need for ghusl when the 'two circumcised organs come in contact'
a)  Muslim  book 3 No. 684:
Abu Musa reported:
There cropped up a difference of opinion between a group of Muhajirs ….He (Abu Musa, the narrator) said: I got up (and went) to 'A'isha and sought her permission and it was granted…… I said: What makes a bath obligatory for a person? She replied: You have come across one well informed! The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: When anyone sits amidst four parts (of the woman) and the circumcised parts touch each other a bath becomes obligatory.
b) Maliks Muwatta Book 2:  Section: Obligation to Do Ghusl when the Two Circumcised Parts Meet
Book 2, Number 2.19.73…. A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to say, "When the circumcised part touches the circumcised part, ghusl is obligatory."    (Repeated  variously Book 2, Number 2.19.74,  75, 77 ):
c) Maliks Muwatta Book 20   No.  20.46.161 ---very long, all about penalties for contact between a male and female during hajj – and those circumcised parts again!

Above hadiths from http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah suggest that 'circumcision' of females was normal for Muslims.

3) a)  Hadith in the Musnad by Ahmed Ibn Hanbal, where Shaddad Ibn Aws reports that the prophet said:
"Cicumcision is a sunnah for Men, MAKRUMAH for women"      (MAKRUMAH can be translated as "noble deed" or "honorable") cited in answering-Islam.org

b) another quotation from the Prophet "Circumcision is a sunna for men and a sign of respect for women". (Hadith of Abu al-Malih,  Abu Dawud)   cited in Muhammad Salim al-Awwa (article Female Circumcision Neither a Sunna, nor a sign of respect.  www.who.sci.eg/Publications/HealthEdReligion/CircumcisionEn/Chapter3.htm -nolonger available!)

4)  another hadith attributed to Abdullah ibn Umar where the women of al-Ansar were addressed endorsing female circumcision ..( hadith attributed to Abdullah ibn Umar quoted by Abu Nain and others) also cited by Muhammad Salim al-Awwa.

*Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi*, one of Sunni Islam's most influential clerics and a spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood-  favors partial circumcision for women as a moderate, just, and reasonable solution best suited to reality. ..In a Fatwa on this issue, he wrote,
"Anyone who thinks that circumcision is the best way to protect his daughters should do it… I support this, particularly in the period in which we live.
….He notes
'It is reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to a midwife: "Reduce the size of the clitoris but do not exceed the limit, for that is better for her health and is preferred by husbands".  The hadith indicates that circumcision is better for a woman's health and it enhances her conjugal relation with her husband. It’s noteworthy that the Prophet's saying /"do not exceed the limit"/ means do not totally remove the clitoris (are you sure??)………..

How many men would like part of the glans of the penis cut off!!!   This is an effort to have an each way bet—ie placate the west , revolted by this practice, and keep it going according to Islam's religious dictates!   Without the west, it would have continued without question as it has for 1400 years eg. Operating Knife
On 12/2/2007 Al-Arabiya TV aired  'Al-Azhar University Scholars Argue over the Legitimacy of Female Circumcision Practiced in Egypt.'  The debate was between Egyptian Al-Azhar University scholars Sheikh Muhammad Al-Mussayar and Sheikh Mahmoud Ashur   The exerts are interesting because they acknowledge the hadiths related to FGM -Muhammad Al-Mussayar: notes "All the jurisprudents, since the advent of Islam and for 14 centuries or more, are in consensus that female circumcision is permitted by Islam. But they were divided with regard to its status in shari'a. Some said that female circumcision is required by shari'a, just like male circumcision. Some said this is the mainstream practice, while others said it is a noble act. But throughout the history of Islam, nobody has ever said that performing female circumcision is a crime. There has been a religious ruling on this for 14 centuries."   "First of all, there are reliable hadiths in Al-Bukhari and Al-Muslim which support female circumcision. The Prophet Muhammad said: 'If a circumcised woman and man have intercourse, they must undergo ablution.' Unreliable hadiths do not cancel out the reliable ones. We have unreliable hadiths regarding prayer, fasting, charity, and pilgrimage. Should we abolish prayer and charity just because some hadiths are unreliable?.."Female circumcision is no less valid just because it was practiced in Pharaonic times and in the Jahiliya.  Islam accepted some customs, which were harmonious with human nature, and rejected others, which contradicted human nature." (reported by MEMRI.org  27/2/2007 and http://fgmnetwork.org)

Clitoridectomy is Islamic whether practiced pre-Islam, or by others in Africa or not by all Muslims-  AND it is practiced here- Pamela Bone (who also thought clitoridectomy wasn't part of Islamic law!) referred to an interview with Sheik Fehmi al-Imam of the Preston Mosque where she asked him about clitoridectomy and he replied "You probably don't need it but women in hot countries do"!!! (Melbourne   Age 21/7/01 p7)
Abc.net.au (11/5/06) and News.com.au note that over 50 females have been treated/year in Sydney hospitals following FGM.  Some girls are sent overseas for the procedure but others are mutilated here.  Note:  the 50 brought in must have been desperate as Muslims would first go to a Muslim doctor- the RMIT handbook for Muslim students gives a nice list –so imagine how many suffer this horror every year!

It's time Muslims faced their text, laws and practices instead of lying-  any Imam simply has to read the law in Arabic and knows that clitoridectomy is either obligatory or at the least, meriticious for women so it goes on amongst the orthodox until the underlying text/laws are exposed and denounced!!

I also ask where is our right to tell the truth about Islam as we see it?  Why are we subjected to saturation Islamic propaganda without any hope of a reply or challenge either from journalists with a moral conscience and guts to publish the laws and supporting hadiths or papers that publish letters/articles exposing them!!  Evil cannot be defeated when no-one will speak/write about it!

Tom Dundee: The Pagan Black Stone - aka Kaaba
Only when the Kaaba is crushed to create gravel to cover roads will the world by on the correct path.
Only when Arabic is spoken only in HELL and every mosque has HEll as part of its address, will the world be saved.

Circe,
I read the newspaper article and agree with your comments.

Over 23 years ago in Adelaide, there was a spate of newspaper reports condemning this barbaric custom committed on female Muslim babies. They were Indonesian Muslims, if I remember correctly, and their last words were: "If the practice is banned, we will carry it out on the kitchen table" or words to that effect. The newspaper articles ceased. I wonder why!

Sherene Hassan neglected to mention whether she was submitted to this barbaric mutilation as was Aayan Hirsi Ali. Probably not, as a Google search reveals that she was born in Perth.

She is a frantically busy little Muslim mouthpiece, having conducted around "400 information sessions on Islam to diverse audiences". At schools (indoctrinate them whilst young!), colleges, universities, Uniting Church, Aust. Federal Police, Dandenong Council workers, Electrical Trades Union, TV and Radio, Rotary Clubs including "...some 800 Rotarians, families and members of the general public at the Rotary Club of Glenorchy in Tasmania"!! She has conducted workshops on Islam in South Australia to service providers and community groups plus teaching 'special needs' and indigenous children in SA. She is (or was) chairperson of the Jewish Christian Muslims Association.

The active, busy Muslim apologist/propagandist must hardly ever be at home. That is supreme dedication!

I bet that Female Genital Mutilation is never mentioned in her Religion of Peace numerous lectures.

Concerned people need to insist on appearing at the same venues as Mrs. Sherene Hassan, to explain the other face of Islam - the correct version.

In her way, she is as dangerous as Muslim terrorists/extremists. No - she is much MORE dangerous!

Seventh century barbarians!

Cheers,
Patricia.

Tom,
I'd be quite happy outlawing all radical mosques and Muslim institutions/organisations in Australia - that would probably eliminate 99% of the problem. Islam could be practiced as a private faith, but no mock-interfaith, no pretend dialogue, close down all Islamist University depts, stop privileging Muslims. This way, those (very few) Muslims who regarded it as a religion only could peacefully go to their mosques.

Red Rose, yes this Sherene chick is one busy Islamofascist. Why does everyone have to learn all about Islam? I know very little about it, and the bit I have discovered is so horrific - killing all non-Muslims, FGM, Polygamy, slavery etc - that I really don't want to know any more.

I totally agree that we all need to attend these phony interfaith/Abrahamic fraudfests to tell the truth about Islam. If a whole lot of people descend upon these events, it's going to make it hard for the Islamofascists. At the moment, they have a free ride, as their events are mostly attended by Catholic dhimmis/Uniting church and Progressive Jewish devotees, who salivate at their every word. Such people are already Muslim in reality, even if they don't actually admit it yet.

Cass,
I do not, cannot, understand why universities, colleges, schools etc. invite this woman to lecture on Islam. These days, they all have access to the Internet which contains lots of undeniable information about the horrors of Islam and Muslims.

You wrote: "...killing all non-Muslims, FGM, Polygamy, slavery etc..." I bet not one of those words is ever uttered in her propaganda speeches.

Hello again.
In her Herald Sun articles, Sherene Hassan complained about negative reactions to her 'colourful hijab.'

If she chooses to proclaim to everyone of her servitude and submission to men by wearing the badge of enslavement, the hijab, she should not be surprised at 'looks of distain or pity' from free-thinking free-willed civilized people.

Do Muslims have 'negative reactions' to the fact that 140,000 million Muslims women have been mutilated worldwide? Do they ever openly state their horror at such a thing? I would like to see such an article or posting.

"In her Herald Sun articles, Sherene Hassan complained about negative reactions to her 'colourful hijab.' "

Red Rose,
What 'negative reaction'?
She is inventing these stories.
It is part of the 'I was spat on by some Aussies' propaganda.
I do not have to prove it - just say it and say it again.

I must confess I do have a negative reaction when I read in the Qu'ran that Muslims are the best of people who are going to kill all infidels if they refuse to accept Allah.

Does that make me Islamophobic?

I am sick of hearing about Muslims and their grouses about how we perceive them. If they just got on with their life and were prepared to integrate, rather than try to impose their death cult upon freedom-loving Aussies, we would achieve the social cohesion they claim to want.

Sharene can wear anything she wants because that's what living in a free society is all about. Get it Sharene - WE DON'T CARE!!!

Looks like after the last death of a 12 year old girl from female circumcision - the Egyptian government has benned the practice - in any form. Implementing the ban is another thing.
