The Gold Coast is looking to revitalise its image to attract a better class of visitor, and where better than from the Middle East. It has been recognised that the iconic sign “Surfers Paradise” that stands at the entrance to the famous beach needs replacing, and what better than a sign to reflect the new vibrant Multiculturalism than to rename it as “Burkhas Paradise”? The name has a certain ring to it, doesn’t it?
Reported recently by the “The Gold Coast Bulletin” and reproduced as an article on Muslim Village, the journalist Tanya Westthorp gushes over the possibilities.
“The Gold Coast will make a major play for the lucrative Middle Eastern tourist dollar just as the rest of Australia drops the ball by focusing its efforts on the Asian market. Local tourism operators will hold special Ramadan events this winter travel season to lure tourists from the six key Gulf countries — Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman”. Current issues surrounding for example, people smugglers, immigration, burkas and flotillas can be better understood against the backdrop of Dr. Mark Durie’s latest impeccably documented, scholarly book, “The Third Choice”; Islam, Dhimmitude and Freedom. (2010.) “The Third Choice” the fundamental Islamic principle that in the Muslim world non-Muslims had three choices: convert to Islam, be killed or be subjugated as a dhimmi …a concept that is re-establishing itself as Islam infiltrates our world…
Durie addresses some of the most profound challenges of our time….Freedom, Islam and ‘how humanity can live with dignity under conditions of humiliation and inferiority’ (p231) such as dhimmitude. He implies that non-Muslim perceptions based on political correctness and appeasement are inaccurate and confusing.
Mohammed himself took part, if leading from the rear, in thirty-three recorded battles, plus an unknown number of raids on caravans between 622 and 632, an inauspicious beginning to any religion claiming to be characterised by Peace. He also ordered the Expedition to Qatan, or a Sirya in which he did not take part. When addressing Christendom in 1097 with a view towards raising the First Crusade to regain the Holy Land from Islam, and assist Byzantium against the depredations of the Seljuk Muslims, Pope Urban II summarised the early onslaughts of Mohammed’s Arab and Turkish raiders fighting their religiously inspired jihads under the prophet’s crescent banner. Urban goaded European Christians saying:
Congress, the courts, the media and some of the American people are co-conspirators in this dangerous fraud which has placed Obama in the white house. Recently we heard again that Obama is Muslim supported by his hatred of Jews and patronage to outright lying for Islam. Despite requests, he has never released his long, full birth certificate and Hawaiian policies would allow a ‘false’ declaration. The American people must demand his full birth certificate and the release and validation of his social security number, military registration, college and university registration and results, passport etc. If he cannot provide irrefutable evidence that he is a ‘natural born citizen’ then he must be removed from the presidency before he destroys the American constitution and America. The military’s allegiance is to the constitution, NOT to this fraud.
In May, I wrote how Al Age reproduced Emma Brocke's article from the Guardian, demonising Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
Hirsi Ali can, she has said, make statements that a white person simply could not: on the ''dangers'' posed to the West by not just radical but regular Islam; on the ''backward'' nature of the religion; on how ''terrible'' the Koran is; and, in the most startling argument of her new book, Nomad, how Muslims would do well to learn from Christianity.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born, lived, fought and won battles against religious and social oppression in the 17th century Bharat or India. He was a shining star in the Indian firmament and is renowned as a champion of the downtrodden and depressed masses. He was and continues to be an icon for the classes and masses alike and is seen as a rallying point for peasants oppressed by foreign rulers, Pathans and Moghuls alike. Sexually exploited women found in Shivaji Raje a protector, a benefactor and flocked to his Hindavi Swaraj to find solace and feel liberated under his saffron flag.
Geoff Dickson recently wrote on AIM about keeping it simple when understanding the truth, and thus horrors, of Islam. One simple but important aspect of Islam to remember is that of "abrogation" in the Quran. Abrogation means the cancelling or replacement of one Quranic verse by another (where there is a contradiction between the two) and is critical to interpreting the Quran. It also highlights what a fatal mistake it is to assume that all verses in the Quran are somehow applicable today.
This is an oft written about subject and I note that Mumin Salih and Abul Kasem have written extensively on AIM in Islam - Basics about the contradictions and inconsistencies in the Quran. It is fascinating to learn from them the sheer delusion and rejection of logic that Muslims go through to convince themselves that Mohammed's hate manual is actually written by Big Al himself. Circe has also produced two excellent articles on abrogation for AIM in February and April 2008 which go into more detailed analysis than I intend to today.
The fact that it is us , the taxpayers, who have to pay from our pockets to give Associate Professor Ben Saul employment , high social standing and the opportunity to stab us in the back should ring some alarm bells at the Fairfax headquarters but this parody of justice seems not to be the focus of the news item quoted below.
It is "Dave done wrong", which makes the headline:
A co-director of the Sydney Centre for International Law, Associate Professor Ben Saul, said he was advising Mr Hicks and there would be an approach to the US President, Barack Obama, some time in the future.
"While I cannot speak for him personally, I think any reasonable person locked up in Guantanamo for six years and subjected to an unfair trial process and facing every likelihood of being convicted on a retrospective charge would have pleaded guilty to get out of there,'' he said.
Whodunnit!?
In Pakistan, Iran and everywhere Muslims have been very busy blowing up their Muslim brothers and sisters - I would say faster than a speeding bullet but perhaps here we should say ‘faster than a head cutting sword’ . In the words of the song ‘Old Macdonald had a Farm’ we can sing ‘Here a bomb, there a bomb, everywhere a bomb, bomb’ . Last week we were hearing of the bombings in the crowded Sufi mosque in Lahore, Pakistan’s second largest city. .
Thousands of people were present at the shrine dedicated to Hazrat Syed Ali bin Usman Hajweri, popularly known as Data Ganj Bakhsh, at the time of the attacks on Thursday night. Earlier, police and city administration officials had said there were three suicide attacks at the busy shrine, known as Data Darbar, in the crowded centre of the city which is home to around 10 million people. In May this year before the ‘flotilla’ incident, I saw a video of a young Muslim woman (Jumanah Imad Albahri) on a US campus openly stating she was ‘for’ the genocide of Jews. The video has received wide play.
Readers of this site know the same genocide wish was expressed by a covered Muslim child marching in the streets of Melbourne in 2009.
Muslims in Britain and Europe hold signs telling Britain and Europe their holocaust is coming and state they will behead those who criticise Islam etc.
Yusuf Islam publicly expressed his support for the killing of Salman Rushdie.
Nice Islam doesn’t exist. Those who follow Islam’s text and Mohammad’s example are a threat to ALL others.
Why do we allow this evil ideology and its followers into our countries? Why do we allow them to threaten others with complete impunity?

Women -
Abuse
Muslim men's sexual attitude is so perverse that they think they can even eye-rape women. While we can't probably ever comprehend how is that possible, but we can discern why they may entertain such perverse thinking...
On many occasions, I have received emails from Muslims—apparently well-educated ones, who write good English and live in Western countries—justifying the Islamic tradition of wearing veils on the ground that it helps women avoid "eye-rape" by strangers. Following is such a letter written by one Farrukh Abidi, apparently incensed by the outcome of a recent Angus Reid poll, which found most Quebecers and Canadians agree that women wearing the niqab or burqa should not receive government services, hospital care or university instruction.
What a shame! What a pity. Some Muslim males have degenerated into a species lower than animals. Everybody knows that animals protect their progeny. Now everyone knows some misguided males kill their kith andkin under a false belief of protecting family honour.
UK MUSLIM FAMILY IN TURMOIL
We all need to get back to basics in our debate about Islam. There is too much obfuscation in the debate with misleading terms like ‘radical’, ‘extremist’, ‘fundamentalist’, and such diverse groups as Hizb-ut-Tahrir, Taliban, Hamas and Al-Qaeda. The MSM are largely to blame for hiding the simple truth about Islam.
There was only ONE Mohammed and there is only ONE Islam.
We need to obey the KISS principle, or Keep It Simple Stupid. Attributed to a talented engineer Kelly Johnson at Lockheed Skunk Works, the designers of advanced spy planes like the Lockheed U2 and the SR-71 Blackbird.
Occasio nally Jason Koutsoukis, Al Age's Middle East Correspondent, takes a brief respite from his primary task of demonising Israel to lavish praise on a neighbouring Arab country. This weekend he turned his approving gaze to Syria's underwear fetish. Interestingly, Al Age's version is titled "Lingerie entices shoppers on the road to Damascus" (maybe because Melbourne readers are considered more straight-laced), whereas Sydney Morning Herald readers are treated to the more saucy title "Sex and the souk - the Syrian knack for knickers"
IT IS oddly unsettling watching an Iranian woman shrouded in a black chador buying a pair of battery-powered knickers that fall to the ground at a clap of the hands.
A little more than 100 years ago, this was Churchill's view in 1899.
The attached is a short speech, delivered by Winston Churchill in 1899 when he was a young soldier and journalist.
It probably sets out the current views of many but expressed in the wonderful Churchillian turn of phrase and use of the English language, of which he was a past master.
